I love my roomates!

I am having so much fun with my dorm mates!!! There is Kim from N.Z. who is an au pair in london and Douglas from South Africa and Nick from Australia and another Aussie, crazy girl Jess. Then there are 2 Americans who are typical Americans but we balance them out.

Kim and Deanna

Deanna and Douglas

Nick and I

I love my roomates!!! Haha

Last night we all showered up and Deanna, Kim, Nick, Doug and I went for supper around the corner. We got a free glass of champagne but the cheap bread and our meal took forever but we had so much fun talking with each other.

Then we came back to the hostel and played some drinking games. I am still the queen of the guessing game but can't bounce a quarter to save my life and I need to watch more movies and not think outside the box so much on word association. Anyways, no I didn't get plastered but it was fun. I think we went upstairs around one (Nick, Kim, Doug and I). Nick is out cold right away as he had like 7 hours of sleep in 72 hours and Doug proceeds to kill us with laughter running all around the room, testing beds, bugging Nick. Then the Americans come in and act stupid and I think I fell asleep just after 2.

At 830 we all got up and Kim, Deanna and I went to the Vatican for Mass. It was pretty cool actually. Beautiful singing and organ music. We even got a seat inside of St. Peter's. They had the huge jumbo trons outside just incase the crowd was too big.

We had lunch just outside the vatican and for 12 euro got salad, pizza, coke and gelato. Sounds like a good deal to me!

We went to the collesium and again skipped the queue by paying the 11 euro to get in as well as 10 for a tour of the collesium and forum. The collesium was only like a 20 to 30 min tour, the forum was 45. The forum tour was by a girl from New York and boy could you tell. There must have been about 100 people on the tour (I'm not exaggerating) so she yelled at us the entire time! Got to see new things I didn't see 2 years ago... the forum from above, the escape tunnels for the emperor and gardens.

It is 4pm and we're back at the hostel early. Time to shower and meet up with Brad from Florence at 7 to go for supper. Nick, Kim and Doug leave tomorrow for Florence so I hope we go out with them as well and give them a good send off. Planning to meet up with the boys in Paris when we're there as well... they are so fun to be with! There is a toga pub crawl that is supposed to be fun or some sort of water party. We shall see!
