It did rain!

Slightly. This morning.... it is a bit cooler and apparently it is a holiday and most of the stores are closed so that means less people... slightly.

So our meal last night was Spaghetti Bolognaise which I avoid like the plague around here cause it is the easiest thing for them to make and screw up but Franco is an amazing cook (Jeff you have competition!). So full once again!

New people in the hostel, chatted with a really nice guy from Holland, Steven, and a girl from Vancouver named Zophia (cool!) over dinner. Afterwards everyone went to Piazza de Michaelangelo to get a view of the city (been there) but Deanna and I weren't feeling so hot from the sun and the debauchery of last night. We took much needed showers and went to bed early.

The other reason I didn't go is I need a foot transplant. My right foot is totally messed up by backpacking Europe in flip flops but I can't wear my runners because it is so hot. Meh, 2 more weeks to go.

So this morning we went out and ran some errands on Ponte Vecchio... bought myself another huge bottle of the good olive oil. Very close to buying a purse... but I have too many of those already.

We had lunch at this self-service place where we walk by everyday and the guy begs us to eat there. It was good and he was really nice but when we were getting our trays, we were trying to set down our trays and move through the line and these people cut in on us to get their trays. I didn't even try to move out of the way and made it as difficult for these 3 "ladies" as possible. I just can't believe some people.

Oh yah and gypsies are totally annoying. I forgot about the gypsies here. They whine and cry and won't leave you alone... as you're waiting in line, as you're eating.

So we're off to Rome in an hour and a half. Probably won't do much because of this holiday... I must look it up. The guy at the wine/olive oil store wasn't too helpful!
